Croatian coffee brand Cogito collaborated with Shiftspace to design their US flagship coffee shop in Center City Philadelphia. The new outpost features Cogito’s signature coffee drinks paired with locally-sourced pastries and small fare.
Cogito Coffee

Conceived as a coffee shop that invites customers into the coffee-making experience, patrons enter into a warm, nordic-inspired environment with hickory floors and cafe style seating. The central space serves as an “occupiable threshold” with an open-faced bar, reeded glass wall, and floating textile-wrapped panels where baristas and patrons engage. Further back are spaces designed for larger groups and children. As a designed experience, formal architectural elements are juxtaposed with soft forms, colors, and materials.

Cogito represents a fusion of Croatian and American culture and design. The shop features: artwork from renowned Croatian artist Zlatan Vehabović; furniture and lighting designed by Shiftspace; and cabinetry fabricated in Croatia.
